Because, I always thought that "outgoing traffic" refers to connections initiated from the server, not also response packages for incoming requests. Who can maybe add some helpful web resources?

Hey you network and AWS experts out there, I just had a chat with so who said that "if you configure outgoing traffic on the AWS NAT gateway to use a static IP, this also applies to responses to incoming traffic". Is that true? Can I make only outgoing HTTP request use the IP?
